Welcome to K. Clarke Equine! I am a Level 2 Centered Riding instructor and one of two 4* Train Your Seat (formerly Franklin Method Equestrian) trainers in the US specializing in horse and rider biomechanics. I graduated from Delaware Valley University (Nee College) with a Baccalaureate in Equine Training and Instruction. During my time at DelVal, I spent a semester at Hartpury College (Gloucester, England), where I studied Equine Biomechanics. I later went on to earn my Master’s in Business Administration from DelVal.
I have trained with several FEI trainers throughout my career, most notably Louise Davison of Tamworth, England. There I rode Louise’s many upper-level horses, most frequently her Grand Prix schoolmaster under the watchful eyes of Conrad Schumacher. While in England, I also attended lessons with Carl Hester, MBE, and Sandy Phillips.
I have spent countless hours with trainers at all levels of the equestrian world and have seen that when the focus is on biomechanics, the basics are solidified and then the possibilities are endless. If there are holes in the training of the horse or rider it will show up as they progress up the levels. Assessing and working on the basics is not a step back, but rather a check in that those basics are where they need to be for the more challenging work. The challenging more complicated work is easy if the foundation is sturdy. If the horse is struggling as the work gets harder, a deep dive into the basics is necessary.
"The secret in riding is to do few things right. The more one does, the less one succeeds. The less one does, the more one succeeds." -Nuno Oliveria
"Riding with her I have been able to fix years worth of bad habits and feel more confident in my own riding ability. I currently am lucky enough to be riding Giselle a super powerful and talented mare who makes me feel as though I’m flying. Kendra had given me so much confidence through her teachings and her belief in my riding abilities I truly feel as though with her help I will be able to conquer anything."

"In a year with her she has taken our partnership to a new level and helped me bring Goose from an easygoing but often hard-headed and ring sour horse to an animal who is light, responsive, and nicer than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Kendra for any training needs!"
