Kendra Clarke

Kendra Clarke, is the founder of K. Clarke Equine and a trailblazing expert in equestrian biomechanics. Driven by the philosophy that a horse can only showcase its true, uninhibited potential when its rider moves with balance and mindfulness, Kendra has dedicated her career to reshaping how riders connect with their horses and increasing functional soundness of both the horse and rider.

Kendra holds a B.S. in Equine Training and Instruction from Delaware Valley University, where she also earned her Master of Business Administration. Her extensive international background includes a semester abroad focusing on horse and rider biomechanics at Hartpury College in Gloucester, England, and training under elite British FEI coaches—including riding Grand Prix schoolmasters under the watchful eyes of Louise Davison, Conrad Schumacher and attending sessions with Olympic legend Carl Hester, MBE.

As a true educator’s educator, Kendra is one of only two 4★ Train Your Seat (formerly Franklin Method® Equestrian) educators in the United States, a Level 2 Franklin Method biomechanist, and a Level 2 Centered Riding instructor. Breaking new ground in equestrian technology, she is the first and only trainer in the U.S. to offer real-time biomechanical analysis using cutting-edge Novel Sensors—state-of-the-art force and pressure-mapping technology that provides instant biofeedback on rider symmetry. She is also the only accredited trainer in the country for Racewood Simulators, coaching riders on "Blue," her eventing and dressage simulator based at her studio in Kintnersville, PA.

Teaching philosophy

Whether teaching nationwide clinics, designing custom biomechanic tools for her online store, or working with dressage, eventing, western and hunter/jumper riders across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Kendra specializes in breaking down complex body mechanics into real-world, actionable confidence. She firmly believes that when we look at our own movement first, our horses will truly shine.

"I firmly believe that when we look at ourselves first, our horses will then shine. many problems under-saddle stem from the rider. it is my passion to solve those problems."

"Kendra is a fantastic instructor who thrives when it comes to explaining things to her students in a way that makes sense and is applicable to real life."

"Riding with her I have been able to fix years worth of bad habits and feel more confident in my own riding ability. I currently am lucky enough to be riding Giselle a super powerful and talented mare who makes me feel as though I’m flying. Kendra had given me so much confidence through her teachings and her belief in my riding abilities I truly feel as though with her help I will be able to conquer anything."

"I have a horse who forces us to think outside the box, and Kendra had done that and more!"

"In a year with her she has taken our partnership to a new level and helped me bring Goose from an easygoing but often hard-headed and ring sour horse to an animal who is light, responsive, and nicer than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Kendra for any training needs!"
